S'more Recipes and Party Ideas

This year I’m planning a 4th of July party for our house. I want it to be one of those old fashioned parties where people bring a dish, we have sack races, maybe even a watermelon seed spitting contest, followed by fireworks. To go along with all of this I want to have a S’mores Bar; in the S’mores Bar I want a compilation of S’mores that takes the guest beyond the average ordinary S’more. As a result, I’ve compiled this assortment of S’more recipes so I can have them all at my fingertips when I’m ready to start putting everything together.

I must say after reading these recipes, I was inspired to try a recipe out - frankly I just wanted a S'more. :) Here is the S'mores Stuffed Cookie Recipe in action.

S'mores Stuffed Cookie

Em and I made these cookies together. When making anything with my kids, I am suddenly forced to recognize how much of a control freak I am. What helps me get over that is getting behind the camera and taking pictures of Em in action.

I let the cookies sit in the refrigerator overnight and baked them fresh in the morning.

The cookies turned out oehy and gooey just like s'mores do, so be prepared to get sticky and they are fabulous with your morning cup of coffee. :)  For this recipe visit cookienameddesire.com, her cookies turned out much better looking than mine, but Em and I had fun making them!

What is your favorite way to eat a S'more? Mine is Ritz Cracker, Reese's Peanut Butter cup, Birthday cake marshmallow - it is life changing!
