Decorating Pillows – Make Them Sparkle!

Em got into my craft room and found a bowl of ribbons, sparkly things, just stuff I didn’t quite know what to do with yet but definitely wasn’t ready to part with (they were too pretty and I had enough to do something with).  With my back turned, Em grabbed a handful of the goodies and went into her playroom.  After I’m not sure how long, I noticed things were quiet, which generally means the kids are doing something they aren’t suppose to,  I walked in to see ribbons strewn over pillows, on the floor, and acrylic gems all over the floor.   My first thought was “oh geez another mess to clean up”, instead of reacting  I asked Em what she was doing, she said “I’m decorating!”.

When I actually looked a the pillows with fresh eyes, she was right – she was decorating! They looked fantastic! She’s only 3 – I’m so impressed!

So I sat down with her and helped, with her direction, to decorate this pillow.  She has already started decorating other pillows too, so with a seam ripper I’m taking apart some of her other pillows so she can decorate them .  I can’t wait to see what she does today!!!
