Next to my craft room is a well used bathroom that is often neglected from my cleaning sprees. The sink has been used to clean paint brushes of oil paint, acrylics, polyurethane, stains, glue etc… I’ve neglected it for 2 years. What a mess – I honestly thought it was beyond hope of ever being clean.
Even when my Uncle Tom, who is always filled with helpful advice on what I should do, just shook his head. He had nothing for me.
Worst case, I would have to replace the top. So, it was at that point I went to an old standby, it’s not an all natural cleaner that I typically use in the house, but I remember it from childhood and it got EVERYTHING clean!
It took me about 30 minutes to get everything off, and here is what I used.
- Soft Scrub Commercial, found at Lowes.
- Scrub brush
- Pallet Knife (I figured almost everything in the sink was paint related and the pallet knife was flexible enough to bend with the groves of the sink – worked like a charm!)
- Pallet Scraper (it has a razor blade in it, which was handy for the flat surfaces)
I was glowing for 2 days because I was so happy that I got it clean!
