I love coming to my in-laws house! It’s a mini-vacation!:) We always do something fun, the in-laws always watch and spoil the kids, giving Ben and I time to ourselves. I actually get to read a magazine, have coffee or read a book – it’s just relaxing…
Although I do feel guilty because I know that Mammaw is so tired and I hear the kids running her ragged with all the “I wants” – we are working with the kids to fix this behavior. We love our parents and want our kids to respect them and be compassionate. This picture just shows it all, LilMan is sooo full of himself!
I am so very fortunate to have such wonderful in-laws, I know there are many out there who have a mother-in-law that is ridiculous, sorry folks – mine is awesome!
Every Easter that we can (sometimes Ben has to travel to Russia during Easter for work and we can’t make it) we go to Ben’s parents for Easter Weekend. The biggest treats (beside me getting to be lazy
) are:
- Date night and
- Cedar Hill Farms in Hernando, MS
Get their face painted (they made my cute little girl look just mean!)
LilMan looks like he is ready to be a super hero!
The playground is huge, fun for the little ones and it’s fun for adults too:)
After lunch at their cafe (by the way – awesome fries and grilled chicken sandwich), we went on a hay ride to hunt for Easter eggs!!!
They grow and sell Christmas trees too! Cedar Hill Farms has events going on for most of the major holidays: Easter, July 4th, Halloween and Christmas.
They even have pick your own strawberries, blackberries and blueberries! How fun is that!!!
We saw these row of vines, not really sure if they are blackberries or what, but they are pretty. I could see having a Plein Air Painting workshop here – just gorgeous!
In the distance, you’ll see some weird shapes: they have Paintball arena!!! We are soo doing that when LilMan gets older – kids versus parents – payback buddy for waking us up at 12, 2, and 4am
Told you this place was awesome.
.
We spent 3 and a half hours at Cedar Hill Farms, we could’ve easily spent more time but the kids were definitely wearing down. Can’t wait to go back next year!
