Our first night in New York together ended with a delicious dinner at Serendipity and a view we’ll never forget. You HAVE to at least look at this dessert, it is hands down the BEST dessert I’ve ever had!
Now, every post I’ve seen on Serendipity talks about their famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, well it is divine, but
the food is OMG great!!! Ben and I shared the Mixed Grill plate. It had grilled chicken, sausage, steak and grilled vegetables. It was fantastic! And we had room for dessert
We ordered what should’ve been two desserts…and we did some damage to them. Instead of the standard Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, we ordered the Peanut Butter Frrrozen Hot Chocolate – it was like drinking a Reeses Peanut Butter cup – LOVED IT!!!!
Now this was the BEST DESSERT I’VE EVER HAD!!! “. {Swoon}. It had hot fudge in the bottom of the bowl with chocolate Blackout cake, ice cream, and topped with whipped cream…{had to pause to wipe the drool}
We ate the WHOLE thing
…I don’t regret a single bit.
If you get to New York you MUST go there (make reservations at least a month in advance).
After dinner we were thankful to go for a walk.
On our way to the Empire State Building, we stopped in Dylan’s Candy Store and a really neat Apple Store. Dylan’s Candy Store was 3 stories of candy – man if our kids had been with us it would’ve been a nightmare visit, but with just Ben and I it was awesome!!! In my head I had the song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (who can make the sunrise, sprinkle it with due…the Candy man can…
The Apple store was actually underground! It was totally neat and crowded!
Ahhh we passed Armani and a 3 Story Anthropology with a MASSIVE Sale Room… next time I’m in New York there will be shopping! Helpful tip if you want to shop in New York City don’t go with your husband…:)
Anyway…
After a little shopping (mostly looking) we finally made it to the Empire State Building. I just loved walking into building and see amazing carving.
We passed by Rockefeller Center on our way back from the Empire State Building and stood for a bit to watch the skaters. By this point it was around 11pm, we were so tired we couldn’t fathom putting on a pair of skates and taking a turn around the rink. But it was a gorgeous site.
