His and Hers Pillows – Silhouette Cameo

A really good friend of mine gave me a Silhouette Cameo (Silhouette)and Silhouette Fabric Ink Starter Kit for Christmas.  I was so excited I teared up!  This will be the first of many little Silhouette projects :)..I can’t believe what all this little machine can do!

When I first received it my mind was reeling with ideas: did you know you can make magnets and tattoos with a Silhoutte!  You can also cut stencils to paint on fabric, fabric for iron ons or appliques, cut patterns to use Silhouette’s glass etching product, cut vinyl sayings or pictures to place on walls, doors, boxes, glass, windows, mirrors – whew!!! and even have it make pen drawings!!!

IT IS JUST SO EXCITING!!!!  Just look at some of these ideas on Pinterest!!!

My first project was to create his and hers pillow covers (Ben has a pillow for back and stomach sleepers and mine is for side sleepers).  I was going to write, “I love you” on one and “I love you too” on the other, but Ben had the idea to put “I have a headache” (Ben and I have pretty good sense of humor, plus I know for sure which pillow is mine). :-)  With the  Silhouette Fabric Ink Starter Kit I was able to customize our plain pillow cases!

The Silhouette Cameo (Silhouette) comes with software where you can create your own designs and sentences using any font on your computer, it also included a $10 gift card to their online store where you can purchase many of their designs are only .99 cents.  AND every Tuesday they have a free design you can download!  The cute little heart I used on our pillows was last weeks free design.

If you haven’t gotten a Silhouette Cameo and really want one, keep an eye on all of the bloggers below, they’ve had several give aways over the last several months and when they have giveaways they’ll have codes for discounts. :)   Or as a belated Christmas present,  purchase one on Amazon: Silhouette Cameo (Silhouette). :-)

Note: these are my opinions and I was not compensated by Silhouette America.

If you have made something with your Silhouette please send me a picture or URL to your blog.  I’d also love to hear ideas for what you are/would do! :)

Haha. I love this idea. No need to even discuss it, just flip your pillow to the right side.
